Resumen
Colletotrichum is an important plant pathogen and a model system to study evolution in fungi. We investigate the adaptation to different cell wall compositions combining genomics and transcriptomics. Our results suggest that the ancestral Colletotrichum were associated with dicot plants and certain branches progressively adapted to different monocot hosts, reshaping the gene content and its regulation.
