Adrián de la Fuente Ballesteros (Adrián Fuente-Ballesteros) is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Valladolid (Spain). His research focuses on the development and validation of novel analytical methodologies for studying analytes of interest in food and environmental matrices. In particular, he has worked with bioactive compounds, alkaloids, plasticizers, and biogenic volatile organic compounds, with a strong background in pesticide analysis in bee products using GC-MS, integrating a green analytical chemistry perspective. Throughout his scientific career, he has built a solid research output, including more than 15 publications, over 40 conference presentations, 2 book chapters, 1 patent, and multiple international collaborations with prestigious universities. He is also an active reviewer and member of the Editorial Boards of several scientific journals. His contributions to science and academia have been recognized with numerous awards, including the IMFAHE Excellence Scholarship, the EuChemS Young Chemists’ Award, the University Commitment Award, an Honorable Mention in Science and Technology at the National Youth Awards, and the Erasmus+ 2024 Award. Furthermore, he was selected as a member of the Nova Talent Network, the largest platform exclusively for the top 3% of talent in Spain.
