Arroyo Grande’s central sector is composed by an important quantity of roman sites surrounding Villamanta, presumably ptolemaic’s Mantua Carpetanorum. Among them El Tejar site is placed, where the remains of a possible agroindustrial facility are found. Its activity took place at least between the end of II century and IV century.
