Resumen

In this study we have taken into account nine handbooks of 2nd year High School, representing broad overview of the textbooks for the subject of Geography in the whole of Spain. Understanding the complex reality of the Spanish vegetation landscapes completes the study of Spanish physical environment, which integrates the circle closes Physical Geography. Therefore, it is desirable a comprehensive update of the major biogeographic features that define the Spanish vegetation landscapes, addressing issues that may interfere with a correct understanding of this physical reality, and setting basics to be followed in the teaching of this branch of Geography.
