Intestinal dysbiosis is an underdiagnosed disease, it is difficult to find the number of diseases with which it may be related. What has been demonstrated is its relationship with some diseases such as inflammatory disease, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, and other extra-intestinal disorders such as allergies, asthma, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular diseases and obesity. As health professionals we are the first responsible for helping our patients to alleviate this possible imbalance in the flora of the digestive tract, thus avoiding different discomforts and diseases. According to numerous authors, the control of diet and stress are key elements in the proper functioning of the intestinal microbiota. In the following article, in addition to understanding a little better what intestinal dysbiosis is, we will discuss how a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, dairy products and fiber and low in red meat and fatty acids, as well as different stress reduction techniques will help to recover and maintain this flora so necessary in our body.
